SLIPS, TRIPS, AND FALLS

IMG_0440.jpeg

PREVENTION IS THE BEST COURSE OF ACTION

According to the US Department of Labor, the majority of general industry incidents are caused by trips, slips and falls. With so many everyday hazards that can cause a slip, trip or fall, it’s challenging to maintain all the safety precautions that can help prevent an incident.

Your team needs to be vigilant in their lookout for spills and wet surfaces and your facility’s walkways should be properly marked and maintained, free of cords, clutter and other trip hazards. Additionally, keeping ladders in good working condition and maintaining railing systems will help prevent falls.

OSHA’s general industry regulations on walking/working surfaces guard against hazards like clutter, protruding objects and wet conditions.

If you could use some assistance in assessing your facility for these hazards, LineDrive can help.
