Tool Consumption Reduced, Productivity Increased at Vehicle Manufacturer

A truck body manufacturer was looking to reduce their production costs within their manufacturing process, specifically with hole drilling and cutting. The facility has been buying 24,000 mechanics drills annually, a number that has been steadily increasing over the past few years.  The goal was to find a solution that would last longer so they would not have to buy and change drills as frequently.

LineDrive and Greenfield were able to provide an alternate tool to complete their hole making process. After multiple visits onsite to test for quality, it was decided that the Greenfield 1875R tool provided similar, if not longer usage, compared to the incumbent. This will save the end user thousands of dollars per year and allow them to achieve their goal of cost savings in their production environment.

Document Cost Savings:

The Greenfield 1875R is currently saving the truck body manufacturer an estimated $5,000 per year, and the new solution provided was able to reduce spend on drill bits by 9%.
